Today I want to help you get more done in less time - Sign up now or read below for more details!

Let's face it, there are not enough hours in the day to get everything accomplished.

When you own your own business.... it's even worse.

You work in the customer service department, shipping department, accounting department, webmaster department, and and and and and...

You get the idea. I know you do because you live it EVERY day.

There are no breaks. There are no holidays. There is you and your baby.

A Baby??

Our daughter just gave birth to a beautiful baby girl and I realized something major!

Your business is very much like having a baby. It will keep you up late at night, it will throw a fit as you try to walk out the door, and just when you think you are all caught up...

A panda or a hummingbird comes along and the baby spits on them and you! Time to change your clothes... again.

So let's make things a little easier!

Today I want to work on helping you work smarter and not harder.

I have some tools that will help you get more done in less time. I have some tools that will automate many things that you are doing on a regular basis.

Remember....we are working smarter and not harder!

First, let’s get rid of 2013 and move on to a New Year! The sooner you get this done, you can move on to 2014.

Prepare year-end tax forms. This includes sales taxes, payroll taxes, 1099’s. Get them done and on their way.

Evaluate your business expenses. Get bids for credit card processing, insurance, phone and internet, etc. Contact emerchant.com for lower credit card processing rates. They are offering a Challenge - $250 if they can’t beat your current rates. Call your internet company and ask for any specials. Contact at least 3 insurance companies for their best rates.

Evaluate your business form. Are you a dba and should be a LLC? Check with a professional accountant or lawyer. You can also contact www.score.org for a local chapter in your area. They provide free local mentoring to small businesses.

Now set your Goals for the New Year!

Write your goals for 2014 and be specific. For example, "I want to increase sales by 10%".

Explain why you want to achieve your goal. "If I increase sales by 10%, I can hire another person and have more time with my family".

Create a list of distraction or problems that may stop you from achieving your goals. Then write solutions. For example, your problem may be that you don’t have enough time to write a blog. Schedule your day with specific times for checking emails, social media, and blog writing. Look at this schedule at the beginning of each day and stick to it!

Use tools such as Trello.com and Hootsuite.com that help with time management.

Be sure to listen this Tuesday at 2:00pm EST as we offer more insight into setting goals and achieving them for 2014.

It's a new year. It's a fresh start.

We have our personal resolutions in hand but, what about for your business?

It's time to look back at the previous year, celebrate our successes, learn from our mistakes, and reset our goals for the coming year.

Determining Resolutions for YOUR Business

The first step is to determine the goal or what you may call an objective for your business.

The second step is to develop the purpose of your goal. Why are you deciding to make this your goal?

The third step is to create a checklist that helps you to achieve the goal.

The fourth step is to create another checklist of all the obstacles that may get in the way.  How will you handle them?

The fifth step is easy.... It's time to get to work!

Creating the Checklists

I want to help you with the creation of your checklists. For most store owners, the goal is to:
  • Increase Traffic
  • Increase Conversions
  • Increase Sales
  • Increase Profits
  • etc
So let's create these checklists together.

Join me for my radio show Ecom Experts today at 2:00 PM Eastern.
