Monday on Ecom Experts, we discussed 5 Ways You Could Double Your Sales. You can listen to the replay below but, I wanted to dig a little deeper into our very first tip - Your Blog!


Blogs typically have:
  • 55% more visitors than websites
  • 97% more inbound links than websites
  • 434% more indexes pages than websites

As many of you know, we have built a brand new store 3 months ago using only Social Media to bring in sales. We built this site to show owners, now what? Now that you have your website, how do you get traffic, sales, and conversions?

The results have been AMAZING.


Let me give you another peak at our sales as of today.


We are documenting the entire process and teaching people what they need to do after building their website.

Our blog has been essential in helping us to grow our new business.

Blogs allow you to use social media to its maximum potential because it creates a home base for you to bring all your social media efforts back to.




While your store may be sales oriented, your blog will help you:
  • Soft-sell your products
  • Provide Insight
  • Provide constant link building to your website
  • Becoming a resource of credibility
  • Show off your personality
  • Have conversations with your customers
  • Engage with your customers and create relationships. 
The Problem I See
    Many store owners get started with blogging, feel like they aren't seeing any results, and suddenly stop.

    This is the worst thing you could do. You just ruined all the hard work you have done. If nothing else, Google is reading your blog if you link it up correctly to your store. Customers are looking at your blog to make sure you are still alive. The moment you give up, you sales will go down.

    Keep blogging!!
    • Build a calendar making sure you research your seasonal items and holiday sales. Use Google Calendar to help you remember what you are going to write about on which day.

    • Research keywords that your customers are using and create discussions based on those keywords.

    • Remember the 80/20 rule and only OCCASIONALLY push a sale. The other 80% should be educational, conversational, and creative!

    Remember this always and put a sticky note on your monitor so you remember this every day-

    People have to like, know, and trust you before they will purchase from you.
