Yesterday I had the pleasure of interviewing Bob Angus from VeriSign and we discussed the two biggest shopping days of the year.
The biggest online shopping day of the year outside of gift giving occurred on October 25th the Monday before Halloween and has been given the name of e-Hallow's Eve.
The expected biggest online shopping day for 2009 was Green Monday December 15th. However, Tuesday the 16th came in first with $913 MILLION in sales. Second highest shopping day of season was Cyber Monday and third highest was Green Monday. *stats from comScore*
So what do we expect to see happen this year?
Monday November 29th will bring lots of sales this holiday season but, pay close attention to your website on the 13th and 14th of December.
December 17th is the third annual Free Shipping Day with guaranteed arrival by Christmas Eve. Add your store to http://www.freeshippingday.com/ and get some much needed extra traffic and sales to your website.
Check out our short Ecom Experts Quick Tip Video below for more information on e-Hallow's Eve or click the play button to listen to the entire interview.
The interview contains information on how to get the VeriSign seal added to your website for $1!
More information on that tomorrow :) Make sure to subscribe to our blog!
