Did you miss the biggest conference of the year?

I had the pride and pleasure of attending if not the biggest, then surely one of the biggest conferences last week... Search Engine Strategies.

The conference was absolutely amazing!! Tons of great education as usual. Tons of great speakers as usual.

However, I seemed to notice that the amount of attendees was not as high as usual. Google canceled their yearly "Google Dance" because they felt it was bad timing given the state of our economy. Perhaps the economy is a reason why many attendees stayed home as well?

As you know, I attend several conferences throughout the year and I understand how costly it can be. First you have to purchase tickets to the event. Then you have to get your airline tickets, hotel room, pay for a few cab rides, and don't forget your food bill. It all adds up.

Don't get me wrong, the education you receive at these events is amazing.
