Thursday, May 14, 2009 ![]() We have been creating several different educational discs around here lately. I wanted our discs to be shipped in these plastic sleeves that looked much nicer than the usual white paper sleeves. However, as my son was placing the discs into the sleeves.... he became frustrated and came to me. Here is how the convo went: Andy: "Mom you need to get rid of these plastic things." Me: "Why? They look nice." Andy: "Mom it's hard to put the discs in." Me: "Ok... I think you are trying to get out of work." (I am thinking typical teenager) Andy: "But Mom (I hate that name...But Mom to the rescue!), if I have a hard time putting the discs in then your customers won't be able to get them out easily. That's why the paper sleeves are better. Plus the paper sleeves are more flexible and you can get the cd out without touching the back. People get real weird about putting their fingertips on the cd." Me: "WOW...good point. Switch to paper sleeves." I forgot the most crucial aspect of business: I was doing what I wanted instead of doing what was best for my customer. by: Shawna Seigel Twitter With Shawna | Subscribe to our Blog | Subscribe To Our Radio Show |
