Monday, February 09, 2009 ![]() Mike Ober from Yahoo Small Business has posted a fantastic article, "The Twitter Train of Social Ecommerce" Mike mentions that Dell has already proven that Twitter works for them, after producing over $1M on sale alerts and now offering exclusive deals to their 11,000+ followers. However, Dell is not the only business to find success via Twitter. Amazon asks Twitter users to Tweet a book title or ISBN number, and they are sent a reply with the average price range on Amazon at that moment for the product in question. Zappos knows the importance of social networking. Check out their page which shows their employees that Twitter, company info on Twitter, and even people that mention the name Zappos in their Tweet (Twitter Message). Yahoo Store CleanAirGardening uses Twitter to keep in touch with customers, answer questions, and much more. How can your store take advantage of Twitter to increase sales? As Mike Ober explains:

i want to suggest Twitjj to you. it's a Social Classifieds across Facebook, Twitter
i'm start up website call name Twitjj (http://www.twitjj.com/) it's Twitter Classifieds
The road to a better Craigslist is littered with the bodies of startups that could never make it past the first few mile markers. But Twitjj, which launched on June 1, 2011, thinks it can defy the odds by making classified listings more social. The service includes a standalone site, but every listing can be cross-posted to Facebook, Twitter.
To start with, it makes each listing very easy to find. When you list an item or service, you start on the Twitjj site which prompts you to fill in standardized data that varies according to the item. All of this metadata makes the listings more search-engine friendly than simply putting in a title and description.
