I am sitting in a conference at Online Market World and just finished watching Jimmy Duvall from Yahoo Small Business. He offered great advice for online e-commerce owners.
Put the phone number where people can find it. Especially in the header.
Sale items quickly
Show shopping basket (or view cart) in the top right corner
Answer key questions in your shopping cart that your customers will have. For instance, if you sold a shirt and a customer wants to know how to change the size or color, tell them. Give them your phone number so they can easily call you.
#1 question people ask in the cart is "How long will this item take to get to me?" Answer this question in your shopping cart
Biggest online shopping day of the year is NOT cyber monday.
In fact, it is 2 weeks before Christmas. So make sure your marketing is ready and we will discuss this in more detail soon!
