First of all, what is e-commerce? E-commerce is commerce, including business, trade, buying, and selling, that is transacted electronically, rather than hand-to-hand. Businesses need efficient technology and strong marketing in order for e-commerce to be successful. The goal is to increase your business by making it easier for customers to shop, and if your
yahoo store lacks technology and marketing making it difficult for them, they
may as well drive to the mall.

Before we look at e-commerce solutions, we need to first figure out some of the problems with
e-commerce. There are many complaints from customers when it comes to purchasing items online. A few include:

  • Disorganized site that is
    difficult and confusing to navigate

  • Lack of information on
    the website including failure to tell customers about special deals or

  • Lack of contact information

  • Missing simple and recognizable text/images of quality customer service

Well then, what are some e-commerce solutions? Having a professional looking website will attract customers and make them feel confident in buying from you. You want your
website to be organized and easy to navigate, and if you have an informational
website that is search engine friendly; shows promotional deals; encourages up
selling in a friendly way (such as showing related items or showing items that
customers purchased who also purchased the item you are purchasing).

Ask yourself these questions....

1. Where do I shop online?

2. What attracted me to this website?

3. Why do I feel safe buying from this store?

4. Would I shop again at this site? Why?

Now look at your site and see if your site contains all things that attracted you to buy the product
from the other site.

Does your site meet your needs? Would you shop here?

If the answer is no, fix your site to make it a yes!

There a lot of people who have a Yahoo Store
but not all of them become successful. Some end up loosing their money. In
order for a store to become successful the person/persons involve in it should
know the proper business handling. They should know how to make their store
popular so that a lot of costumers want to visit it.

Below are a few tips to Marketing Your Store

1. Build a mailing list and use auto responder for your newsletters and other
information that your subscribers would want to know. Put the newsletter
subscribe on your pages as well as in the shopping cart.

2. Offer incentives to your subscribers. Give
away something or give them a discount.

3. There are a lot of affiliate programs that
you can use. People fail because they do not have the ability and proper

4. Familiarize yourself with all the features in your store. In order for you
to start selling or promoting something online you should understand all the

5. Write articles about your website. This will help you get a spot on the

articles about your rivals in the business. Writing articles is an excellent

It is probably safe to say that the most
important, least expensive marketing tool you that you can do for your Yahoo
Store when it comes to Internet marketing on a budget is your time—the time
you spend and the time you wait.

The more time you have to devote to marketing your product will be out there.
Whether you create a very detailed website or simply run a blog about your
products, who is going to take the time to check it out if you have not
invested the time it takes to really promote it?

Once you figure out your target audience, or customer base, use these three
effective and inexpensive tricks to Internet marketing on a budget: article
submissions, newsgroups or forums, and online classifieds. Each of these is
either inexpensive or completely free. When using article submissions and
newsgroups or forums remember not to be pushy in promoting your products.
Briefly mention your important business in your articles (which do not have to
be based on your business itself), and approach members of newsgroups and
forums in a friendly manner. Also, be sure to read the rules and regulations
of each newsgroup and forum to make sure you are allowed to promote yourself.
When using online classifieds, make sure to use a variety of headings that are
both professional and intriguing and repost frequently. Double check the
results and see which headings bring you in the most traffic. If you use the
same one over and over again, you will not know if you can get better results
by improving your ads.

Also equally vital is the time you wait to reap the rewards of your marketing.
Perhaps your business will be booming after just a couple of weeks; if so,
good for you! However, it’s important to remember that the results of your
Internet marketing efforts may even take a couple of months to show. When this
is the case, do not get discouraged.

If you are trying to find an inexpensive, yet
effective way to promote your yahoo store, you should consider an article
directory submission. An article directory submission is a chance for you to
write an article about a topic relevant to your website and business, rich in
keywords, and get the link to your store out there for potential viewers and
customers to see.

Before you start looking for websites that offer article submissions, make
sure that your article is ready. Aside from keywords, make sure that your
